Daily Announcements

Today is Tuesday, October 9th, 2018

Attention Students, Bus Drivers are now checking bus passes. If you do not have a bus pass see Ms. Phenix in the main office each day before 7:30am.

As some of you may know one of our faculty members Mr. Scanlon has recently been diagnosed with ALS.  ALS, or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord.  ALS eventually leads to people losing the ability to speak, eat, move and breathe.

As a show of support for Mr. Scanlon, we are holding a fundraiser to help raise funds for ALS research and treatment in Mr. Scanlon’s name.  At halftime, during the homecoming game, we will hold a large ice bucket challenge as a show of support for Mr. Scanlon in his fight against this terrible disease.  You can donate to a teachers bucket who is participating, all teachers have a goal of raising $ 50 and the teacher with the most money will have the smallest amount of ice water dumped on them and the teacher with the least amount of money will have a giant bucket of ice water.   Students can also participate in the ice bucket challenge during halftime by donating $ 5 or more and signing up at lunch or in room C338.  We would like a big show of support for Mr. Scanlon by having as many teachers and students participating as possible during the halftime ice bucket challenge.

Homecoming is this Friday! Students, wear your sneakers, there will be a free volleyball tournament for all.
