Seniors! Reminder it is almost prom and graduation time. In order to attend prom or sign out for graduation class dues must be paid. See Mr. Trip or Chef Y to pay your dues. Thank You.

CLUBS

Tech Writers is joining with the Young Writers Program of National Novel Writing Month (also known as NaNoWriMo) for the month of April.  Join us this week for planning, idea-sharing and world-building, then get down to the serious business of writing your novel starting today. April is also National Poetry Month – Poets, submit your work for our 2019 poetry magazine!

Eagles Who Code will meet Today and go to Boys & Girls Club.

GENERAL

Attention student who are under 18 Years old! Now that Spring and Summer are upon us you might be going out and getting yourself a part time job. By law if you are under 18 years old you will need a Workers Permit!! It is a two step process. If you need one- This is a reminder: Miss Blute in down in the cafeteria everyday from 5:45 am -7:15 am before school taking care of anyone needing a Workers Permit. Please see her at that time. She is not always available during the day.

Attention Summer JOB Opportunities: Youth Grow and Youth Works are looking for students to work this summer. City of worcester DPW & Parks Department Lifeguard Training Class Program 2019 is being offered for those interested in getting certified as a lifeguard. Please see Miss. Blute in the Cafeteria from 6:45-7:15am to get more details. Thank You.

Mr. Packard’s AP World History afternoon session will be on May 22 from 2 to 3 pm. This class is for seniors only.

AP Environmental  meeting after school will be on April 24th.

All Skills Contestant please meet in Ms. Barrasso’s Room in B312 Wednesday April 24th 8th Period for a short meeting.

STUDENT COUNCIL

Worcester Tech, spirit week continues today, Today is color for a cause, wear the color yellow to support mental health awareness, Wednesday is Heritage day, dress to represent your flag and your heritage. Thursday is throwback back Thursday dress as your favorite decade, Friday is class spirit day, show your class pride, Freshmen are Green, Sophomores are Purple, Juniors are Red, Seniors are Blue.

Student Council is hosting a food drive from April 8th to May 9th. All the cans and non perishable food items will be donated to Burncoat’s food pantry and distributed to the students in need across the city. The shop week that donates the most canned goods/non perishables will receive a pizza party courtesy of Antonio’s Pizza! In Your Shop Lunch. Every donation is greatly appreciated and will go to very good use! We hope you all participate!

SPORTS

The Girls Varsity Tennis Team plays Fitchburg HS today at home at 3:30pm. Players should report to Lake Park tennis courts by 3pm dressed and ready to play. Good Luck!
