Poetry Out Loud, a national poetry reciting competition, is returning to Worcester Tech on Tuesday, January 28th. Last year our Worcester Tech Champion went all the way to the state finals. If you want to be a part of this year’s program, see Ms. Holland in C340 for a brochure or sign up for the POL Classroom page
The Upward Bound Program for 9th graders will be here tomorrow at 9:00 am if anyone is interested in meeting with them. This program helps students with academic success and post-secondary planning. See Ms. Goodwin or Ms. Reilly for more information
The field trip to American Heritage Museum is Tuesday, February 11th after school. The museum has a simulation of a trench from WWI and a large collection of tanks and planes from WWI through the Afghanistan wars. We will leave school at 1:30 and arrive back at school for 5:30. The cost of the trip is just $10. See your History for more information. The other trips this year sold out fast! The first 45 students to return a permission slip and bring in the $10 will get a spot reserved.
The wrestling team traveled to Concord Carlisle this weekend, and Mac Ekeh beat 2 out of his 3 opponents, both by pin. At the all-girls tournament in Orange, Jay Molina won her first match ever by pinning her opponent in the first period. The team travels to Leominster tomorrow night for their next match. Congratulations to all the competitors ! 😀
