ADMINISTRATION

ATTENTION ALL LUNCHES (most importantly 3rd lunch): Please be more mindful about picking up after your lunch period. A lot of trash is being left behind. Please be kind and respectful, as we would all like to eat in a clean space!

The library is open on Wednesdays after school for students to use computers and work in study groups

There is Saturday Buyback this week. Students must be in the main lobby by 8:00 am with school work. See your Guidance counselor or Mr. Healey with any questions

All students MUST park in the STUDENT PARKING LOT! You are not to park anywhere else!

GENERAL

Places are still available, but the final day to sign up for this year’s Poetry Out Loud competition is today. See Mrs. Holland in C340 for details

GUIDANCE

Upward Bound applications for 9th grade students are now available in Mrs. Reilly’s office in B138. Please pick one up at your earliest convenience

Transcript release forms for Seniors need to be submitted to Guidance counselors ASAP

CLASS NEWS

The field trip to the American Heritage Museum is Tuesday, February 11th after school. The museum has a simulation of a trench from WWI and a large collection of tanks and planes from WWI through the Afghanistan wars. We will leave school at 1:30 and arrive back at school for 5:30. The cost of the trip is just $10. See your History teacher for more information. The other trips this year sold out fast! The first 45 students to return a permission slip and bring in the $10 will have a spot reserved

CLUBS

Culture Club is today in D418 from 2:00 pm – 2:45 pm. All are welcome!

Speech and Debate Club will be held today in room D429 after school. New members are welcome!

Model UN Club will meet next Tuesday, January 28th after school in room D343

The Asian Student Union will be holding their first meeting on Thursday, January 30th in B169. If you are interested in learning about the countless cultures in Asia, you’re welcome to join!

Skills USA will have a meeting on Tuesday, January 28th in Allied Health. We will finalize fundraising and a school-wide event for Skills week. ALL students are encouraged to get involved! Please direct any questions to Ms. Lonergan or Ms. Taylor

SPORTS

Attention ALL Winter Sports Teams and Coaches!: The school photographer will be at Worcester Tech tomorrow to take the official Team pictures for the yearbook(individual photos can be ordered at this time as well). Please have your teams dressed in full uniform and in the gym by 2:00 pm the latest! Ms. Marshall will deliver order forms to the coaches this week
