TradeWinds is the Worcester Technical High School student-run newspaper. Established almost 100 years ago, the school newspaper continues to showcase news and features related to student events, academic and shop achievements; and whole school initiatives, programs and awards. TradeWinds’ illustrated covers from 1917, when the school was known as Worcester Trade School, or Boys Trade, are on display in the timeline exhibit in the lobby. Today, students demonstrate their expertise in photography, graphics, layout and computer technology, as well as in-depth reporting and writing in the quarterly school year publication. Also known as the Newspaper Club, TradeWinds welcomes and encourages all WTHS students to participate in this exciting and rewarding extra-curricular activity.
